For an enjoyable day out at sea, spend the day snorkelling at the Panumbagan Sandbar. Here you will snorkel in Pilar’s marine sanctuary which is also an area where sea urchins (uni) and sea grapes are cultured for food. Harvest sea urchins and sea grapes for a fresh snack and a chance to eat out in the “wild”. In addition to snorkelling at the nearby reef, your guide will take you to see a small cave. For those willing to stay out until the later afternoon, there is a small area where hundreds of egrets gather to meet the sunset.
This is 5 to 6 hour activity with boat, guide, registration fees, snorkelling equipment, and refreshments.
